In 2006 Mary Anne and Brian Riff of Victory Farm Alpacas discovered that they were both interested in acquiring a fine, double-registered black stud. They searched outward from their bases in eastern Ontario and, finally discovered SSA Sunset Riley on a farm south of Edmonton Alberta. Riley was jointly owned by Battle River Alpacas (Ernie & Denise Gamroth) and Tell Tale Farm (Jane & Gerry Tellier). He continues a long line of champions:
